Youmeus have been supporting the Panasonic TV design team since 2009, providing design vision and strategic tonality across their product portfolio.

‘Byobu’ (屏風, “wind wall”) takes reference from Japanese folding screens. An adaptive TV that transforms to meet different home viewing and sound experiences. The two screen modules feature multi speaker arrays mounted to an internal aluminium frame, finished with acoustic fabric to create a warm and tactile expression that is more furniture than technology.

This design concept formed part of a wider design vision project centred around Panasonic’s design philosophy ‘Future Craft’.
