Panasonic approached us back in 2010, at a point when organic LED display technology was still in its infancy and before the leap to commercial adoption. We were asked to explore ideas and opportunities for their TV category. Our focus centred around one of the key benefits of OLED at the time... ‘Thinness’.
The light-weight structure, materials and modular approach taken, seeks to form a product expression that is more furniture than technology.
This design formed the inspirational building blocks and design steer for Panasonic’s TV portfolio including the Viera ES500, launched in 2017 for the Japanese market.
