'Pocket'™ is an innovative ironing board product, conceived by Youmeus for Joseph Joseph. Often, great design thinking stems from the foundation of observational research. It was this research that served as the driving force behind the creation of ‘Pocket'™.

Our research indicated that the way we approach ironing has shifted from a routine of batch ironing to a 'little-and-often' task. One key observation that informed the design was that people often stored their iron and ironing board in different areas around the home, making setup-time a key barrier to use. By creating a more compact ironing board with integrated storage for the iron and accessories, helped to broaden storage opportunities and improve setup time.

Youmeus's concept was developed and evolved by Joseph Joseph's in-house design team and has enjoyed several years of successful production.
